Organic produce from local farms, fresh and friendly raised meats, healthy flour-ey goodies all match up to the standards of the bigger and more well known organic food chains. Like many of those chains, a majority of our product comes from local farms, which is definitely to your benefit. Why is produce from local farms a benefit? Yes, you know that local farms is good, for some healthy reasons you never really found out nor cared about, but they benefit your wallet too. Regular product normally comes from a distant mass farm that requires an airplane and multiple trucks and then storage in order for it to end up on your plate and that it's getting there far faster. When a product comes form a local farm that transportation cost is nil compared to the regular cost of product transportation. That means less money is being spent on the getting which in turn means there's less money to make up for a profit. Simply put it means less money being spent on the vegetable itself means you spend less money to buy it. But organic produce from local farms doesn't just save money, it also saves nutrients. Studies have shown that organic foods on average have more vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and micro nutrients than your everyday vegetable. The soil still has nutrients which in turn lets the sprouting produce have more nutrients. Now yes organic is healthier, but tastier? Actually, yes. Because organic food has room to breathe and grow and is free of hormones and antibiotics it is healthier and therefore tastier. Also, organic food stays true to itself. A potato is a potato as a cow is most definitely a cow. Neither are genetically modified to be bigger because bigger does not always mean better. Beef that is organic typically means the cows grazed as they were meant to and had room to breathe which meant less stress. Lessened stress in a cow means healthier meat and healthier meat means a better taste. Remember, you are what you eat.
